We are only a few days away from ending the hot oil challenge although it feels like it just started! With learning I have fibroids, September passed by so quickly that I didn’t get a chance to post much about the challenge. At any rate, I hope by now you have experienced the many benefits of hot oil treatments.

Although this was a hot oil challenge, I made it a use up some oils by any means necessary challenge because I have way too many oils!! Once I get rid of the excess oils I own, I will not repurchase them because in truth, I only need 5 oils in my stash: extra virgin olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil, avocado oil, argan oil, wheat germ oil and hempseed oil.

Benefits of Hot Oil Treatments
My two favorite ceramide oils are hemp seed oil and wheat germ oil. The benefits of ceramides for relaxed hair include patching up damaged areas to make it strong as well as increased shine and manageability.
Hemp Seed Oil – excellent for adding shine to the hair. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons in your deep conditioner for awesome shine. Results are best with continued use.
Wheat Germ Oil – provides awesome slip for oil rinsing and shower detangling. Add a palm full of oil to your hair and shower detangle under running water.

Penetrating oils really absorb into my hair and make it feel all kinds of right! Penetrating oils are great for adding pliability and resilience.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil – Add 1-2 tablespoons to your favorite deep conditioner for a hair pampering treat full of hydration.
Avocado Oil – Hands down, it’s the best oil for my hair for sealing in moisture. Avocado oil DOES not contain protein like the avocado fruit. Therefore, if you are protein sensitive, you can (or should be able to) use avocado oil without issue.
Benefits of Ayurvedic oils include follicle stimulation and reduced shedding, breakage, hair loss, dryness among other benefits. The two Ayurvedic oils that I have in rotation at the moment are by KeraVada and Annabelle’s Perfect Blends.

Because results were hit and miss when I launched my initial review, and I haven’t bothered to revisit the product until now, I am mixing my KeraVada Ayurveda Hair Oils with other products and oils that work. My goal — get rid of KeraVada!
