I transitioned from relaxed hair to natural hair for two years before big chopping. During my transition, my relaxed hair and natural hair had varying needs. Therefore, it was hard finding products that worked. Additionally, my hair required a lot of product to look halfway decent so I was going through product like water. As a result, handmade products became way too expensive. Therefore, I used my transition as an opportunity to try retail products. One of my first purchases was the Cantu Conditioning Creamy Hair Lotion because of favorable reviews stating it worked well on multiple textures.
When researching products, I look for ingredients that work for my hair. I purposely stuck to ingredients that worked because my transitioning hair was prone to tangles. Therefore, I didn’t want to experiment too much with new ingredients and risk setback. Two things attracted me to the Creamy Hair Lotion. It contains nourishing oils that are known to deeply penetrate my hair and it contains anti-humectant properties that would help my hair retain moisture.

Creamy Hair Lotion Review
For many years, I looked at Cantu Beauty as a basic line that wouldn’t do much for my hair. However, I was wrong.
The Creamy Hair Lotion softened my relaxed hair, defined my natural hair and enhanced overall shine. It’s thick like a hair milk although its considered a lotion. It absorbed without a trace and did not leave a gray cast on my hair. The moisturizing benefits are long lasting. In fact, my hair stays moisturized for several days before needing to refresh it with additional product.
If you passed on Cantu Beauty before, now is the time to give the line a try. The line is effective, affordable, readily available and versatile. Additional favorites are Conditioning Detangler and Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream.
