Essence Beauty Box [Review]
You may recall, I learned about Essence Beauty Box while attending the Essence Festival earlier this year. I was very excited to sign-up for the box and could not wait until the first box was received. The first box arrived with the following products:
Calvin Klein Eternity Now Perfume
Product Overview: Eternity Now has a floral fragrance with succulent fruits and radiant flowers for a soft cashmere veil.
Product Review: The perfume smells floral but fresh and suprisingly, I like how it smells. I am not a floral fan but this perfume seems to blend all the notes well. I even feel that I smell a hint of musk which is one of my favorite notes.
Tarte The Brow Architect
Product Overview: Tarte The Brow Architect is an all-in-one brush, pencil and concealer to shape, line and define your brows.
Product Review: Threading and waxing has snatched me bald in some areas so I have been using brow shadow to define my brows and a brow brush (translation, a toothbrush used solely for my brows) to shape them. Initially, I loved the idea of having an all-in-one product. However, my brow shadow and brow brush work a lot better. Therefore, I will use Tarte The Brow Architect for touch-ups while on the go but my brow shadow will remain my go-to for at-home applications.
L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
Product Overview: This hand cream has 20% shea butter for a superrich balm that penetrates quickly.
Product Review: I have high expectations for bath and body products since I have dry, sensitive skin and this hand cream delivers. My hands remain hydrated long after using the product.
Curls Creme Brule Whipped Curl Cream
Product Overview: The Curls Creme Brule Whipped Curl Cream is a styler that de-frizzes, defines and moisturizes with leaving soft curls without hold.
Product Review: I patch tested this product on damp hair after recording the video review and my hair was left feeling moisturized and soft. Having said that, let me just say, my hair was feeling great before using the product, thus I cannot give Curls Creme Brulee all the credit. I will assess its ability to de-frizz and definte when I get around to using it on wash day.
Eden Bodyworks Coconut Shea Leave In Conditioner
Product Overview: This conditioner can be used daily as a conditioning treatment to improve manageability.
Product Review: I echo the very same for Eden Bodyworks as I do for Curls Creme Brule. Although my hair felt soft and moisurized, I cannot give Eden Bodyworks all the credit since my hair was feeling good beforehand.
I will assess the true effectiveness of both Curls and Eden Bodyworks on wash day when my hair is free of other products. I will report back!
