Do you ever feel spread too thin? To be honest, I have been feeling this way for quite sometime and it’s time I get organized now!
I MUST GET ORGANIZED NOW
I use to be very organized but what happened? I’m now snoozing the clock a million times in the morning. I’m rushing to get out of the house to get to work on time. I’m always rushing from point A to point B. My cell phone is always in my hand trying to respond to this and that. I’m making calls while driving down the road, checking emails at the traffic light and responding to social media on bathroom breaks while at work.
THIS MUST STOP!
Therefore, over the next 30 days, I am challenging myself to create a life regimen that forces me to get organized now!
BE EFFICIENT WITH MY TIME
I recently changed jobs and I am not allowed to have my cell phone at my desk. Since starting this job, I’ve found it very challenging to get my wish list items done before bedtime. I’m literally hustling from the time I walk in the door up until I lay my head on the pillow. I need to be efficient with my time and limit activities that distract from my productivity. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter surfing are huge distractions for me.
EXERCISE MORE
I have an extra vertebrae at the base of my back that partially developed when I was a kid. As I was growing up, it never presented a problem. Heck, I didn’t even know I had that issue. Now that I’m older it has caused a lot of issues. The best way I know to describe the discomfort – it’s that deep soreness you feel when you’ve done major yard work. Yeah, that!
Some days I can barely move and stand upright. I have two options as per the Orthopedic Dr. – exercise and build up my core and back muscles or have surgery. Surgery is not an option so exercise it is.
To be honest, I love lifting weights. However, I keep such a tight schedule from sun up to sun down that time is very limited for exercise. When my day is running long, exercise seems to be the first thing I cut from my daily routine! When I do have free time, I’m usually rushing home to write a blog post.
I’m disciplining myself to focus more on me before making time for other things. Over the past week, I’ve really focused my attention on working out because it’s a must for me to feel better.
GET MORE REST
I am averaging about 3 or 4 hours of sleep per night. I have never been the one to sleep for 8 hours but I certainly need more than 4 hours of sleep. I work full-time so between working, blogging, being a wife, sister, daughter and friend, time is limited. My immediate goal is to increase my sleep hours to at least 6 hours per night. Therefore, I will set the alarm on my cell phone as a reminder to stop what I’m doing and get to bed.
GET ORGANIZED NOW 30 DAY CHALLENGE
Because I am queen of procrastination,I’m giving myself 30 days to get organized now, otherwise this won’t happen! It’s a must. After I accomplish this, my next effort at organization will be my house. It too needs work.
Jay please slow down and find some “me” time. It makes no sense accomplishing all of these things and you’re too tired to enjoy it. Looking forward to seeing how your life changes in the next 30days.

Hi Sweet Lady! I’ve made some good changes in a matter of a few days so I’m feeling better already. The key, sticking with them. I tend to spread myself thin to support others and it must stop. I need to make time for me.
OMG don’t you HATE when you can’t have your phone at work! I also am *trying* to be more organized. I’m actually pretty freakin productive but I’m never consistent in all areas – cooking, cleaning, working out, business, fun. Never happens, so that’s what I’m working on.
I am productive in one or two areas. I can’t seem to be productive in all areas. I’m working on being consistent and organized across the board. Not having my phone is the worst. I didn’t realize how much I relied on it but it’s my lifeline.
Thanks for the motivation Jay! I slept for 12 hours last night and I feel like a new woman! I’m like you and average about 4 good hours of sleep, so my body finally gave out last night. Lol
I’m working on organizing my time (work, writing, ministry, family, fitness, home) and my stuff (clothes, shoes, hair products, etc). It’s been tough but I set small goals for myself. When I reach my mini goals, it pushes me forward and I feel good about my little ole self. 🙂

Go Sis! I’m so glad you got some much needed rest. Spoiler Alert: I’ve been doing better too. I miss the mark some nights and only get 4 or 5 hours but that’s no longer the norm. I do feel better for it and my eyes don’t look quite as puffy. I still need work in this area but it’s all about making progress and baby steps.
I feel you, Jay! You set out to be organized and efficient with your time, but then life happens, and you’re headed for a tail spin.. I do agree with you on having more sleep though, and setting an alarm when it’s time to go bed helps reinforce the habit of going to bed. I’m quite guilty of this ’cause I’m a night owl and I tend to be more productive at night.
