The Giovanni 2chic Avocado & Olive Oil Conditioner caught my attention when a blogger friend provided a glowing review. Avocado and olive oil are my two favorite oils so when I heard about this product, I was sold.
Conditioner Purchased, Now What?
Once I finally got my hands on this conditioner, I wanted to run straight home and use it. However, I am conservative when it comes to using new products when relaxer stretching. I am entering 14 weeks post relaxer, thus I only want to use products that will help further my relaxer stretch. Therefore, I opted to patch test this product by co-washing one section of hair just to see how my hair would respond.

Giovanni 2chic Avocado & Olive Oil Conditioner Review
The Giovanni 2chic Avocado & Olive Oil Conditioner smells fresh and light and has a citrus undertone. I suffer from migraines so I am cautious when using products with fragrances. This scent did not cause issues which is always a plus.
The conditioner is very thick and creamy but spreads easily. I allowed the conditioner to sit for 5 minutes before detangling under running water. My hair had reasonable slip and the conditioner rinsed easily without leaving residue. My hair felt softer but I didn’t get too excited because I wasn’t sure if this feeling would soon leave after my hair fully dried, a feeling encountered way often after previous co-washing efforts.
I squeezed excess water from my hair by using a t-shirt before applying my leave-in products: Pura Body MuruMuru Moisture Milk and extra virgin olive oil. My hair detangled with ease and felt great.
Say What, It’s Day Two And My Hair Still Feels Good?
Wow, I can’t believe that it’s day two and my hair still feels good. The co-washed section of hair is softer, smoother and shinier than the rest of my hair although the comparison photo may not appear so.
I had my husband do a feel test by simply asking, do you feel a difference? He felt various areas of my hair and promptly pointed out one section felt softer. SCORE! I was excited he too could tell a difference. It serves as my confirmation that I wasn’t imagining things.
