Are you in the market for a few good half wigs for relaxed hair? I just found two good ones that I think you’ll like.
Protective Styling During the Winter
Each fall and winter I struggle to come up with styles that help my hair retain moisture so I normally end up in a bun of some kind. Buns are fine for work but I desire something different for weekends and nights out on the town. Of course I can wear my hair down but we all know that comes with risk of dryness and breakage during cooler months.
I normally would accept defeat and rely on hair buns as per the usual but this year I’m going for something different. My determination to find styling options is fueled in part by planned trips to snowy states. I really want to look cute while on the road without damaging my hair.
Best Half Wigs for Relaxer Hair
As I search the web, I see many ladies having great success with wigs and weaves. I’ve never been a wig wearer because human hair creeps me out and synthetic hair tends to look too shiny and wiggy. I was unwilling to let this stop me as it has done so many times before. Therefore, I searched and searched before finding two half wigs that I like: Outre Tammy and FreeTress Creta Girl
. Both wigs are synthetic, doesn’t look overly wiggy and only cost about $20.

Outre Tammy
Retain Moisture and Grow Longer Hair
I’m really looking forward to looking cute while keeping my hair moisturized this winter season! When my hair is properly moisturized, I retain more hair because I suffer from less breakage. Of course less breakage means longer, healthier hair! Can we say winning!
They look fantastic girl, I love them!
Thank you, Alana! 🙂
I love it! The Outre Tammy is beautiful and not wiggy at all to me. I plan on wearing a wig just as soon as I get up the nerve to wear it. It will be my first time and it looks a bit shiny and wiggy. It’s synthetic and just a little past shoulder length. Oh well, we’ll see… 🙂
You can use dry shampoo to take away some of the shine. I have a straight hair wig that I will show you all later this week or next. It’s definitely wiggy. I might wear it when I’m not at risk of bumping into anyone I know. I’m a little more carefree when I’m in a no judgement zone.
I’ll try that. I got a free sample of dry shampoo from somewhere, but wasn’t going to use it on my own hair. I’ll use it on my wig. Thanks!
Sure! 🙂
I love Tammy and probably have her in every color. lol She looks great on you! Now you got me wanting Creta girl! Even though I haven’t worn wigs in years, I like to have them around for “just in case” or bad hair days” or when I want to go shorter without cutting my real hair.
I may check in other colors, Lu. Tammy is a lovely wig. I don’t plan to rely on that 24/7 but it’s a good option for just in case.
You are really cute with curly hair!!!!!!
TY, Resa!!!
I’ve been wanting a wig for the longest
You should def try one or both of these. So easy & cheap.
I used to live and die by half-wigs! If you wear a headband over the seam at the top, you don’t have to leave any hair out at all – that’s what I used to do!
I will give that a try again. It kinda looked weird on me when I did that the other day. I’ll play around with different headbands. That might have been the issue.
It looks natural. I actually thought it was your hair till i saw half-wig. Looks like a banging braid-out. It definitely suits you.
Thank you, Tomes! I love that it resembles my hair also.
Yes it tricked me too at first, I thought it was a braid out lol but it looks great on you Diva 🙂
Thank you, Abbii!!! 🙂
I love the wig. It’s very beautiful.
TY Nerline! 🙂
They both look great! What website/where did you purchase them? I too need to prepare for cold weather (I live in Oklahoma) (:
Hi Carmen, thank you. I purchased both from Amazon because my local BSS didn’t have them.
I missed this one. Tammy is one of my fave wigs. Looks cute on you!
Ahhhh, thanks girly.
YW
I cannot believe that is wig; I had to read the article twice. I’m totally buying one of these for winter. They both suit you very well; as another poster said they look like good braid outs. Thanks for the tips!
You’re so welcome. I think you’ll love them. They do not look wiggy and folks don’t look at me all foolish when I wear them. I hate wiggy looking wigs with a passion. Thanks for swinging by.
I think your hair looks great! I can’t even tell that they are wigs. Definitely doesn’t look wiggy to me.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful article about hair weaves and extensions. Looking forward to more!
