In this KeraVada Review, I will share my experience with using the 4x Concentrated Hibiscus Hair Oil. Hibiscus promotes hair growth, stops hair fall, gives hair a healthy luster with bounce, and delays premature graying.
KERAVADA REVIEW [Hibiscus Hair Oil]
Cost: $16.99 | Size: 4 oz.
Hibiscus, Coconut Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Olive Oil
In ayurveda, hibiscus is known as one of the best secrets to beautiful and healthy hair. As already mentioned, hibiscus promotes hair growth, stops hair fall, gives hair a healthy luster with bounce, and delays premature graying. Coconut oil, with hibiscus flowers is an age-old recipe for lustrous long tresses. You can also take hibiscus oil and apply it to your scalp and hair. You can add the hibiscus to your shampoo to give your hair a nice long luxurious shine!
Pre-Shampoo: Shampoo can be quite drying, stripping away an excess of natural oils from the hair shaft and leaving hair dry and dull. For added protection before you cleanse, apply the oil, making sure your hair is thoroughly coated. Keep it on overnight, then in the morning shampoo as usual. Your hair should feel soft and shiny, being less susceptible to breakage. This will help your hair to grow longer.
Conditioner: For a conditioning treatment, massage the oil into your hair and scalp, cover with a plastic cap and sit under a steamer or dryer for 20 minutes. The massaging effect will improve circulation and aid in hair growth as the oil nourishes and strengthens the hair shaft. Alternatively, you can wrap your hair in a heated, damp towel for similar results. Rinse out and style as usual. Use it daily to maintain luster and condition. Apply a small amount to your palms, and distribute evenly throughout your hair, paying particular attention to the ends. Do this at night. Wrap your hair in a satin scarf or bonnet to keep it and your pillows protected. Style your hair as usual in the morning.
Do It Yourself: Add 1 ounce to your favorite conditioner or leave in conditioner.
The oil is light and easy to apply. The applicator tip is far too large and allows the product to freely pour out. Therefore, I transferred it to a different applicator tip bottle to better control product distribution. CORRECTION: I now realize the applicator tip on the KeraVada bottle is adjustable and you can control flow of product.
As a pre-shampoo treatment and scalp massage oil, Hibiscus Ayurveda Hair Oil provided softness to my 12 weeks post relaxed hair but did not offer much slip for detangling. I am on a steady vitamin regimen and hair care regimen, thus I have no issues with hair fall. Therefore, I cannot accurately assess its ability to improve hair fall as stated in the product promise.
I will continue using the hibiscus hair oil until it’s used up but it will not be a repurchase.
HIBISCUS vs. FENUGREEK HAIR OIL
Spoiler Alert: My hair initially felt softer with fenugreek but hibiscus proved to have better softening properties in the long run.
