Customer service is impeccable! Annabelle’s Perfect Blends and I discussed my hair goals and needs before deciding on White Chocolate Mousse Moisture Intense Mask.
I received a 4 oz. jar with butters to review. It came packaged in a cute pink bubble wrap envelope. I thought that was super classy and such a nice touch!
The smell is divine – smells just like chocolate but is not overpowering.
I used the conditioner twice – use #1: steamed for 30 minutes under my LCL hair steamer; use #2: under the hot head heat cap.
Use #1: My initial reaction posted on a hair forum: “Here’s a quick review for White Chocolate….my hair is super picky since it’s low porosity, protein sensitive. I used White Chocolate on Sunday and my hair is still nicely moisturized. Normally, moisture evaporates quickly out of my hair and by day 2, it’s thirsty and dry even with the best of DCners but not with White Chocolate…I keep feeling around in my ng as I’m in total shock. This is staple status! :yep: :lick:”
Ok, let me break it down. I washed and conditioned my hair on a Sunday and it stayed soft, moisturized and hydrated the entire week through Saturday night. Let me repeat – the entire week. Yes, you read that right! That’s unheard of for this low porosity, disobedient hair. My hair craves moisture. It demands it. It cannot be without it. Yes, it’s just that serious! My hair was not begging for moisture following the use of White Chocolate Mousse Moisture Intense Mask. I did, however, continue daily moisturizing and sealing as that’s my day-to-day norm no matter the conditioner used on the previous wash day.
FYI: :yep: and :lick: are the text versions of emoticons used on the hair forum — I was just expressing that White Chocolate Mousse Hair Mask is awesomely delicious!
Many conditioners will perform well on my hair when conditioned under my steamer but lack when using a heat cap. I really like that I can use something as simple as my Hot Head heat cap and still have an effective deep conditioning session. Don’t get me wrong, I love my steamer but having options is nice for those days when I don’t have time to sit still for a good steaming session.
The conditioner really does smell good enough to eat. It is thick and creamy and can be easily applied to the hair without snapping strands. The conditioner soaked right into the hair and left little evidence minutes after application. I did a double take because I was like – where did it go? I even applied a little more to make sure I had proper coverage and um, it vanished again! Although product could not be seen, I could feel the softening effects beginning well before I started steaming so I knew things were on the right track. I often cannot tell if a conditioner has worked until I’ve rinsed and fully air dried. Even then, I’m left thinking it has worked to find my new growth crispy dry by day 2. Not the case here – my hair softened within minutes and remained soft throughout the week.
The conditioner rinses away easily and doesn’t leave any traces of scalp residue or buildup.
I use about 1.5 to 2 oz. of product each deep conditioning session so I blazed through the 4 oz. jar. I do have a corner left but it’s not enough for a third and final deep conditioning session. *enter sad face* I will save the remaining product for when I’m about 9 weeks post – will DC my unruly new growth.
It’s hard on the streets for a low porosity girl but this conditioner right here is golden! To let you know just how much I love it, I’m putting this on my fave list. Not everything reviewed and/or liked, makes this list. I’m really selective with my fave listing. The product really has to knock my shoes and socks off before I give it staple status consideration. Annabelle’s Perfect Blends White Chocolate Mousse Hair Mask did all of that and more! 😎
