I have been planning to flat iron for weeks but have yet to do it. As I was taking down my bun and preparing my hair for the night, I decided to not just talk about it, but be about it. I whipped out the scissors, wavy roots and all, and snipped, snipped, snipped. I don’t suggest trimming with wavy roots because it can create unevenness. In this post, I will share with you how I self-trim relaxed hair.
I was a bit nervous at first but it was all good after the first snip. I will snip more in the coming weeks whenever I flat iron my hair.
I was pleased to see that my hair is ballpark mid-back length even with wavy roots. I, of course, will be cutting the length but seeing the growth made me smile.
How I Self-Trim Relaxed Hair
I self-trim relaxed hair with using Feye’s Method. It is a popular technqiue that I found on YouTube that can be used for u-shape ends or blunt ends. The technique is shown on caucasian hair but it also works on textured hair. —> Feye’s Method,
