SheScentIt Cranberry Cream Cocktail is a hair cocktail that is designed to make hair feel like silk according to the SheScentIt website. But does it live up to the hype? First, let me cover some overview information before sharing my experience.
Cranberry Cream Cocktail Overview
The product is said to leave dry hair feeling extremely soft while detangling knots and snags. It coats strands in a healing blend of botanicals to revive, smooth and condition hair. This cocktail leaves curls lush, defined and smooth. Ingredients listed on website.
How to Use?
Apply liberally to damp hair. With a comb or fingers, gently detangle curls. Use daily or as needed.
What I Look For In Products Now
The instructions suggest using on damp hair and daily as needed. I do not wash my hair frequently as I used to. Dare I say I wash my hair about once a month, if that? Time is so limited and hair is not the priority it once was. Therefore, I look for products that can double as a leave-in on wash day and daily moisturizer on other days just like the Cranberry Cream Cocktail promises.
On dripping wet hair, this product has not proven to be as effective as using it on slightly damp hair during weekly moisturizing sessions.
I lightly mist my dry hair with a moisturizing spray. I still love She Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Mist. This has been my go-to for years. However, I also use Rose Water when I’m out of Shea Moisture.
After my hair is slightly damp, I apply SheScent Cranberry Cream Cocktail to small sections of hair. It makes my curls pop and enhances moisture immediately. I seal the moisture in with a oil based product and my hair retains moisture whether I’m wearing braids, twists or hidden under a wig.
Will I Buy It Again?
Unfortunately, yes! Although, I am trying to move away from online purchases by replacing them with products I can find in stores near me, this product stands out from the rest. Most products have one attribute but lacks another. This one has the perfect water content to soften my hair. It has the perfect moisturizing properties to keep my hair hydrated. And, it has enough slip for me to finger detangle and remove shed hair out of the shower. Win, win, win!
