Tea Rinsing for Relaxed Hair: My Experience
The benefits received from tea rinsing is determined by the teas used in your tea rinse. The sky is the limit on what concoction you can create. I prefer teas that are geared toward combatting shedding and adding moisture – burdock root, slippery elm, moringa, bamboo, roobis red, oolong and marshmallow root are some of my favorites. Soft hair and reduced shedding is the result each and every time.
Have a look at my feature photo of how tea rinsing helped me. I tried using flash for a better quality image but it distorted the pile of shed hairs so I went with no flash. Please forgive the dark picture. However, the picture demonstrates hair loss on separate wash days from pre-wash detangling through post-wash detangling. I lost about 5x more hair when I did not do a tea rinse. Big, big difference!
