Hola Divas! Ok so, I’m 9 weeks post and my hair is behaving quite nicely – two snaps for that. This week’s wash day went a little something like this…
Pre-Poo: extra virgin olive oil (15 minutes)
Protein Treatment: SheScentIt Okra Reconstructor (20 minutes)
Cleanse: Creme of Nature Argan Shampoo
Condition: NaturelleGrow Mango & Coconut Water (30 minutes under heat therapy wrap)
– Although extra virgin olive oil is working well for my pre-poo and my leave-in, it doesn’t compare to dabur vatika enriched coconut oil. I will incorporate dabur vatika back into my regimen in the coming weeks.
– I think I’m starting to see some wear and tear on my hemline. It could be as innocent as shrinkage or it could the damaged ends that Komaza recommended I cut. At any rate, I’m considering another major chop anyway. I’m just at a point where I want a change. Plus, I’m all about health because healthy hair thrives and unhealthy hair doesn’t. My hair responds and performs better when it’s kept trimmed and cut to a healthy point.
– SheScentIt Okra Reconstructor is a product that I revisited from the past. I recall it working way back when but I don’t recall much else about the product. Besides, I was protein phobic then (more so than I am now) so my views then and now would differ anyway.
As you previously read, I used SheScentIt Okra Reconstructor for 20 minutes on dry, not yet cleansed hair. Upon rinsing, my hair felt great. That feeling even lasted beyond wash day. This reconstructor did not leave my hair feeling dry, brittle, coarse or all around weird. Yay for that because I’ve been looking for the perfect protein product that strengthens yet leaves my hair soft.
– This wash day was definitely a hit!
